While planning my wedding and continuing my daily routine at the firm, I decided to renovate my home. What was I thinking... I know-I know. While I'm in the process of renovating my kitchen, I get the urge to give my living room decor a little face lift.
I consider the coffee table to be the heart of the living room, so adorning it with remote controls was not working for me. My basic, square, black coffee table was clearly lacking character. Thus, a few small changes were in need; making a world of a difference.
FLOWERS: To give life to my coffee table I opted for white roses (my personal favorite) adding a personal touch, which I was searching for. The bonus of flowers; every week during my grocery run, I can choose a new flower to go along with my mood.

Detailed Items: you don't have to travel the world for exquisite pieces, just look for items with detail. I love the small shell detail in this candle stick. The neutral tones and metal accents really compliment the space well while adding character.
Accent boxes: a great hiding place for those unattractive remotes.
Accent Pillows: my favorite redecorating option! With a basic color couch, you can constantly change your style with just swapping out pillows.
